Where do the scholarships come from?
Right now, from a curated list of real, well-established national scholarship programs — not scraped or fabricated. We looked into pulling in a live government scholarship database (CareerOneStop, run by the U.S. Department of Labor) but their public data access doesn't actually cover scholarships despite the tool existing on their own site, so for now our list is smaller but everything on it is real and verifiable. We'll keep adding to it.
Do I have to make an account?
No — you can browse every scholarship on the homepage without signing in. Creating an account (just an email and password) is only needed to get matched against your own grade level, state, major, and income range, and to get emailed when something new fits.
Why did I get an email even though nothing seems urgent?
We only email you for two reasons: a new scholarship matches your profile that you haven't seen before, or a scholarship you've already matched has a deadline coming up in the next 14 days. If neither happens, you simply don't get an email that day — unlike a daily check-in, since scholarship listings don't change nearly as often as something like flight prices would.
What does the household income field actually do?
It's a broad range, not an exact number, and it's only used to avoid showing you scholarships that explicitly require demonstrated financial need if your range suggests you likely wouldn't qualify. It never blocks a scholarship unless there's a clear conflict — we'd rather show you one extra listing than hide a real opportunity. Leave it blank if you'd rather not say.
Do you ever ask for a fee, my Social Security number, or bank details?
Never. A legitimate scholarship should never require payment to apply. We only ever ask for your grade level, state, intended major, and a rough income range — nothing more. See our guide on avoiding scholarship scams for warning signs to watch for on other sites, too.
What happens to my data?
We store your email and the profile information you choose to give us — that's it. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with any scholarship sponsor or anyone else. The full breakdown is in the Privacy Policy.
