Missouri residents who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and attend a participating Missouri college full time can get $500 to $1,700 a year at a public two-year school, or $1,750 to $3,500 at a public four-year, private or approved virtual school, if their Student Aid Index is $12,000 or less. There's no separate application: filing the FAFSA is all you do, and awards may be lower than the maximums depending on funding.

What you'll need to apply

  • Financial information: FAFSA each year by the state deadline (there is no separate state application), with a Student Aid Index of $12,000 or less
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance: Full time (12 semester hours) at a participating Missouri school, not in a theology or divinity program
  • Missouri resident who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, without a first bachelor's degree. To renew you need a 2.5 GPA and satisfactory progress. No awards for summer terms

Requirements can change each cycle. Confirm them on the sponsor's page before you apply.
