New Phi Theta Kappa members earning an associate degree at a community college can win $1,000 based on scholastic achievement, community service and leadership potential. You need a 3.5 GPA and 12 to 36 college credits completed.

What you'll need to apply

  • Essay: Essay
  • Minimum GPA 3.5
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance: At least part-time at a two-year college, seeking an associate degree, with 12 to 36 semester credit hours completed
  • Must be a new Phi Theta Kappa member. Students who already have an associate or bachelor's degree are not eligible
