A need-based grant for Kentucky residents who are U.S. citizens and enroll full time at an eligible private college in Kentucky: up to $3,200 a year, paid from Kentucky Lottery revenue. You apply by filing the FAFSA.
What you'll need to apply
- Financial information: FAFSA each year (the guide lists it as the only application), with financial need
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance: Full time at an eligible Kentucky private college
- Kentucky resident who is a U.S. citizen (KHEAA's guide says citizens, so permanent residents may not qualify). Amount is per KHEAA's printed guide, so check the current award
The sponsor's page only listed some of what's needed, so this list may be missing items and the effort score may be higher than the real work. Requirements can change each cycle. Confirm them on the sponsor's page before you apply.
How the effort score of 93 is figured
- Start at100
- Financial information: FAFSA each year (the guide lists it as the only application), with financial need−5
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance: Full time at an eligible Kentucky private college−2
- Effort score93
Points come off 100 for each thing the application asks for. They are our estimates of effort, not measured hours. How the score works
