A need-based grant for low-income Nevada residents who are college-ready and enroll full time (at least 12 credits) in a degree or certificate program at Nevada's community colleges and Nevada State University. You need a Student Aid Index of 8,500 or less on the FAFSA, and money goes first to students taking 15 credits with the most need, so file early because funds run out.
What you'll need to apply
- Financial information: FAFSA with a Student Aid Index of 8,500 or less
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance: At least 12 credit hours in a degree or certificate program at an NSHE community college or Nevada State University, and college-ready
- Nevada resident for tuition purposes with no earlier bachelor's degree. Funds are limited, so awards go first to students taking 15 credits with the lowest Student Aid Index
Requirements can change each cycle. Confirm them on the sponsor's page before you apply.
