Nevada scholarships and state aid
These are restricted to Nevada residents specifically. It's the kind of local award that's easy to miss because it's never on the big national scholarship sites.
Most scholarships on this site have no state restriction at all, so it's worth also browsing the full list regardless of where you live. Know of a local Nevada scholarship, through a school, Rotary club, or church, that isn't listed here? Let us know.

- Nevada Governor Guinn Millennium ScholarshipUp to $10,000
State of Nevada (Nevada Treasurer's Office)
If you've lived in Nevada for at least two years, graduated from a Nevada high school, and meet the Board of Regents' GPA and coursework requirements, this covers up to $10,000 in tuition at a Nevada college, paid per credit up to 15 credits a semester. Most recipients don't even have to apply: your high school submits your name straight to the state, and only students outside that path, like those who were homeschooled, typically need to self-apply. To keep it, you'll need at least a 2.75 GPA and 12+ credits each semester.
