Create a free accountIf you qualify for the full Post-9/11 GI Bill and attend a participating school, the school waives part of the tuition above the national cap ($30,908 in 2026-27) and the VA matches that waiver dollar for dollar, often leaving little or no tuition to pay. More than 2,000 schools participate.
What you'll need to apply
- Qualify for the 100% tier of the Post-9/11 GI Bill
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance: Attend a school that participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which more than 2,000 do
- Give your VA Certificate of Eligibility to your school's certifying official
- Each school decides how much tuition it waives and how many students it covers, and the VA matches the waiver dollar for dollar
Requirements can change each cycle. Confirm them on the sponsor's page before you apply.
