Inducted members of the International Thespian Society can compete for chapter and national scholarships totaling more than $200,000 a year, with over $40,000 of that considered at the annual International Thespian Excellence Awards. You have to be inducted through a school theatre chapter, so it's not open to everyone, and since this bundles several distinct awards (some just need a short essay, others want audition materials), check the sponsor's page for the one that fits you.

What you'll need to apply

  • Video: Audition of 2 minutes or less with two contrasting pieces, or a tech portfolio
  • Resume or activities list: Resume and headshot
  • Essay: Essay for leadership or education awards
  • Minimum GPA 2.7
  • Inducted International Thespian Society member required
